Begins sales of super non-adhesive conveyor belt "EASY RELEASE® Neo

Bando Chemical Co., Ltd. announces the development of "Easy Release® Neo," a super non-adhesive conveyor belt that is ideal for preventing adhesion and accumulation of materials to be transported, and will begin sales in April 2020.

1. Background and Aim of Development
The phenomenon of conveying materials adhering to the surface of conveyor belts occurs on various lines. Currently, belt cleaners and other devices are used to scrape this phenomenon, but the adhered material is not released in the proper position, causing it to fall and accumulate around the conveyor system. This problem has resulted in the loss of raw materials and the need to clean up the deposits. Depending on the materials being conveyed, the deposits can adhere to the conveyor frames, leading to premature belt wear and equipment failure.
To solve these problems, we have developed a belt that is much more non-adhesive than the conventional non-adhesive belt (Easy Release Belt®) and can be easily released with a belt cleaner.

2. New Product Features
(1)Significantly improved non-adhesion performance
Special formulations have greatly improved the belt's non-adhesive performance compared to conventional products.
In the transportation of coal and iron ore, the amount of adhesion is reduced by approximately 80-90% compared to conventional products (in-house evaluation results).
(2)Sustained effect of non-adhesive performance
Generally, the non-adhesive performance of a belt diminishes as it is used, but the new product's special formulation enables it to maintain its superior non-adhesive performance.
(3)Excellent abrasion resistance
Compared with conventional products, the wear resistance has been improved by approximately 30%, which is expected to increase the life of the belt.
