Bando Chemical Co., Ltd. has developed a new toothed belt, Ceptor®Ceptor" is a new addition to the Ceptor series lineup. ®-X S3M/S5M" and will begin sales in January 2023.

2. Development Background and Aims
Industrial robots and medical equipment, which are becoming increasingly popular due to the growing need for manpower saving, require small pitch belts with high load capacity for applications that require miniaturization and high precision. Under these circumstances, we have developed a new type of toothed belt, "Ceptor®We have developed a toothed belt with improved transmission capacity and elastic modulus compared to "-VI" to achieve high transmission, high load capacity, and high response performance.
3. New Product Features
- (1) High transmission and compact size
- Ceptor by adopting high hardness and high elasticity constituent materials®Against the -VI,
Transmission capacity is improved by approximately 20%.
With improved transmission capacity, Ceptor®-A narrow belt width can be used in relation to VI. - (2) Low noise
- The narrower width has the effect of reducing noise during drive.
- (3) Improved response characteristics
- Response characteristics have been improved by approximately 30% through the use of a highly elastic core wire.
- (4) Improved cleanliness
- The use of abrasion-resistant canvas reduces rubber fallout.
- (5) Can be used with standard pulleys.
- The same tooth profile as the standard STS belt allows use with standard pulleys of the same geometry.
