Bando Chemical Co., Ltd. has developed a new toothed belt, Ceptor®HTS Ceptor, a high-torque synchro belt for heavy loads, as a new addition to the HTS Ceptor series®-X 8M/14M" and will be available from February 2023.

2. Background and Aim of Development
In recent years, the quality requirements for toothed belts have been increasing against the backdrop of higher precision and output of industrial machinery. In response to this situation, we have developed the HTS Ceptor, a high-torque synchronized belt for high loads, which has a longer service life, higher transmission, and more compact size by using components with higher hardness and elasticity than conventional HP-HTS, utilizing our core technologies of rubber material compounding, dispersion, and compositing, and its processing. ®-X 8M/14M.

3. New Product Features
- (1) High transmission and compact size
- The transmission capacity is improved compared to HP-HTS by adopting high hardness and high elasticity constituent materials.
The improved transmission capacity allows the use of narrower belt widths compared to the HP-HTS. - (2) Longer life
- The ultra-high modulus core wire and abrasion-resistant canvas minimize belt elongation and tooth wear, making the belt approximately twice as durable as the HP-HTS.
- (3) Low noise
- The narrower width reduces noise by approximately 20% compared to the HP-HTS.
- (4)Applicable to two types of pulley tooth profile
- Available in two types of pulley tooth geometries: HTS pulley and HTD pulley.
