New Lineup of Sunline® Belts for Light Conveyor Belt "Mr. Spike™" High Grip Belt for Food Use Launched

(Headquarters: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) announces the launch of "Mr. Spike™," a high-grip belt for food products, as a new addition to its lineup of "Sunline® Belt" light transport belts.
1. Background and Aim of Development
We were consulted by a customer about a countermeasure to the low durability of spike-shaped plastic modular belts for food use (existing product of another company), which have conical spikes on the surface. We have developed a belt with excellent grip performance on the belt surface and durability of the spike shape by utilizing our rubber/elastomer compounding design technology and belt design technology cultivated over many years.
2. New Product Features
(1) By using hard polyurethane on the belt surface and integrally molding a conical spike shape, the belt has high gripping performance and excellent durability of the spike shape.
(2) The spike shape prevents moisture from accumulating when cleaning the belt, and the product has a backside cover that prevents liquid from diving into the belt, making it easy to clean.
(3) Compliant with Japanese, U.S., and European standards.
Passed the extraction test of the Food Sanitation Law (Ministry of Health and Welfare Notification No. 370)

U.S.A.: FDA (§177. 2600(e). (f)) passed
*Our "Sunline® belt" used for transporting unpackaged food products is equipped with antibacterial, anti-mold, and Non-Fray® (ear hooking prevention) functions as standard to prevent contamination and foreign matter from the backside of the belt.
