Bando Chemical Co., Ltd. has been developing medical devices utilizing its proprietary C-STRETCH® elastic strain sensor. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; URL:https://www. aimedicmmt. CO. jpLtd. has developed a medical device "ResMo" (ResMo) based on the "C-STRETCH®" technology and will start selling it through a distributor on June 1, 2012.

1. background
As one of its new business pillars, the Group has been promoting development related to "respiratory rate measurement," "joint range of motion measurement," and "swallowing evaluation" utilizing the C-STRETCH® elastic strain sensor. In addition, in May 2019, we incorporated Aimedic MMT Corporation, a medical device manufacturer, into our group and have been working to quickly establish our medical and healthcare device business. We have decided to manufacture "ResMo" as a medical device (ISO13485:2016 certified) and sell it from Aimedic MMT Inc. through a distributor.

2. New Product Features
(1) "ResMo" is mainly intended for use in respiratory rehabilitation facilities, where "respiratory rate," which until now has been subjectively evaluated by the practitioner, can be measured and objectified (quantified) by applying the technology of the elastic strain sensor "C-STRETCH®". (2) Because respiratory rate, arterial blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and pulse rate can be measured simultaneously in a non-invasive manner, we believe that the system can be used to support respiratory rehabilitation.
